Grace Delmolino Introduction to the study of the principal authors, works, and movements of the Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Modern periods in Italy. Taught in Italian.

- ITA 150 Italian Cinema (Taught in English)
Michael Subialka Discover Italian cinema as a bold, world-changing art form. From the raw urgency of postwar Neorealism to the unforgettable visions of Federico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Lina Wertmüller, and beyond, this course explores films that have challenged audiences and transformed global movie culture. Along the way, we will encounter iconic genres, from the Spaghetti Western to contemporary stories of migration, while asking how film helps us think about politics, gender, identity, and society. Taught in English with subtitles; no prior knowledge of Italian required.
